Stuart Phillips wins prestigious national award

Stuart Phillips was recognised at the prestigious Professional Adviser Awards last month with the blue riband Outstanding Contribution to the Advice Industry award.

This was the final award of the night and the judges agreed that "this year’s winner is in need of recognition for their impressive commitment to gender equality and improving the number of female advisers within their business." They went on to confirm that "this winner has grown a business impressively, clearly identified their visions and rose to meet their challenges with success."

Stuart Phillips said:

"The Private Office has definitely risen to the challenge of the ongoing tough conditions in the UK for everyone in finance, and has gone from strength to strength. We are delighted to have been recognised by these awards and I’m very proud to say that The Private Office has continued recruiting and attracting talented people to the team around the whole of the UK. This includes expanding our Apprentice and Graduate recruitment, Financial Planning Executives and Paraplanners, giving opportunities to the younger people who are often neglected in this industry and equipping them with the skills for the future in a sector that is predicted to grow significantly as the UK financial advice gap widens even further. It’s really important that we invest in our people. Our dedicated training academies and mentoring programs allow continued colleague development, nurturing of our own in-house talent and improving client experience. The average age of our advisers is 34 compared to the industry average of 59! And over 34% are female compared to the market average of 16%. This allows us and our clients, versatility when it comes to finding the most appropriate working relationship and tackles the industry challenge of ageing advisers. And this has been reflected by Estella’s success at the PA Awards, which is a huge accolade for both her and TPO.”

The Private Office (TPO), enjoyed an award winning evening with the Newcomer of the Year award going to TPO's Estella Peto. In this highly competitive category, the judges said "this winner was an extraordinary example within the industry, with a clear commitment to education and successes across a range of areas."

The PA awards have been going for 19 years and celebrate the success and progress in the industry each year.

Over the last 15 years, Stuart has grown TPO into a highly successful award-winning national chartered independent financial advice business. 2022 saw TPO winning the highly acclaimed Personal Finance Society (PFS) Chartered Financial Planning Firm of the Year UK and TPO was named one of the FT Adviser’s Top 20 Financial Advice Firms in the UK for 2023. TPO has also been named a VouchedFor Top rated UK advice firm, for the 5th consecutive year in 2024.
