TPO reflects on an award-winning 2022

As we head into 2023, we thought it would be appropriate to reflect on an award winning 2022.

The Private Office (TPO) gained nominations in multiple top industry awards including winning the coveted Personal Finance Society (PFS) Chartered Financial Planning Firm of the Year UK.

TPO was also recognised by FT Adviser as one of the Top 100 Firms in the UK, named as one of the Top 50 'Best Large Companies' to work for in the UK, across all industries and highlighted by its customers as a VouchedFor Top rated UK advice firm, for the 3rd year in a row.

Alongside numerous other recognitions and awards, it has been a spectacular year for us, serving the growing financial advice requirement in the UK.

TPO has also continued its growth story throughout another challenging 12 months - recruiting 82 people across the business.

CEO Stuart Phillips said “2022 has been a tough year for everyone in finance but The Private Office has definitely risen to the challenge and has gone from strength to strength

We are delighted to have been recognised by these awards while growing our client numbers as well as the number of people we employ in our business.

The cherry on the top of an already successful 2022 was winning the 2022/23 award for the Personal Finance Society’s Chartered Financial Planning Firm of the Year UK."

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) is the professional body for the financial planning profession in the UK. Their remit is to lead the financial planning community towards higher levels of professionalism exhibited through technical knowledge, client service and ethical practice.

“The average age of our advisers is 34 compared to the industry average of 58! And over 35% are female compared to the market average of 17%."

Phillips continues “I’m very proud to say that The Private Office has been recruiting and attracting talented people to the team around the whole of the UK. This includes expanding our Apprentice and Graduate recruitment, Financial Planning Executives and Paraplanners, giving opportunities to the younger people who are often neglected in this industry and equipping them with the skills for the future in a sector that is predicted to grow significantly as the UK financial advice gap widens even further."

He adds “The average age of our advisers is 34 compared to the industry average of 58! And over 35% are female compared to the market average of 17%. This allows us and clients versatility when it comes to finding the most appropriate working relationship and tackles the industry challenge of ageing advisers. And this has been reflected by having a bumper year for awards, which is a huge accolade”
