Sarah Aitken

As the Head of Quality Assurance, I’m responsible for ensuring we maintain the highest standards of compliance and advice quality. I work closely with advisers and all departments across the business, providing oversight, guidance and support so that everyone feels confident in delivering the right outcomes for our clients. 

Before moving into compliance, I worked as a financial adviser in a bank for 25 years, gaining extensive experience of client needs and advice processes. I joined The Private Office in 2013 as part of the Regulation Team and since then have continued to develop my expertise and passion for quality assurance. 

I enjoy the variety of my role as no two days are ever the same. I also value being able to combine a focus on regulatory detail with the bigger picture of supporting both colleagues and clients, ensuring they get the best experience. I’m also proud to have been a finalist in the Women in Financial Advice Awards in both 2024 and 2025.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my three children and our little French Bulldog, Romeo. I love gardening, going to the theatre, particularly musicals, and listening to music. This is what helps me relax and recharge, giving me a good balance alongside a busy working life.
