Could the cost of living be affecting your retirement?

In a Press Release, the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) has announced it has carried out its second update to its Retirement Living Standards. The data calculates the likely expenditure of both individual and couple pensioner households, with separate figures for London pensioners. It is important to note the figures exclude housing costs, so pensioners renting their home will need to cover higher expenditure. The current and historic figures, together with the percentage changes are:

Single Couple Single Couple Single Couple
2019 £10,200 £15,700 £20,200 £29,100 £33,000 £47,500
